Stephen Smith is a dedicated Financial Advisor and Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) who brings a unique combination of discipline, leadership, and community commitment to his practice. Passionate about helping individuals and families pursue their long-term financial goals, Stephen focuses on building trusted relationships and delivering personalized guidance for every stage of life.


Stephen graduated from Trenton High School in 2014, where he was a member of both the 2013 State Championship baseball team and the 2013 State Championship football team. He went on to earn his Associate of Arts in Business from Santa Fe College before completing his undergraduate degree in Criminology from The University of Tampa in 2019. While attending the University of Tampa, Stephen played on the 2018 and 2019 Tampa Spartans baseball teams, including the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship Team.


Following college, Stephen proudly served three years in the United States Army as an M1 Armor Crewman, where he was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, and also spent time deployed to Poland. During the final stage of his military service, he participated in the Army’s SFL-TAP (Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program), where he studied under Financial Advisors at First Command Financial Services in Kansas. This experience helped solidify his long-term vision for a career in financial services.


After completing his military service, Stephen returned home to Trenton, Florida, and continued pursuing his long-range career plan by joining Smith Asset Management Company as a Financial Representative. Professionally, Stephen holds his Series 65 and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certifications. He is committed to helping clients build confidence in their financial futures through sound investment guidance, strategic planning, and a client-first mindset.


Stephen remains deeply involved in his community. He is a board member of the Chiefland Rotary Club, the Chiefland Chamber of Commerce, and the Education Foundation of Gilchrist County. His commitment to local youth athletics includes previously serving as the Quarterback Coach for the 2025 Trenton High School football team and as the assistant coach of the Dixie County High School baseball team in 2024. 


In his free time, Stephen is an avid enthusiast of golf and hunting. He attends Destiny Community Church in Newberry, Florida. He and his wife Laura (LeBlanc) were married in March 2025 and value faith, family, and service as guiding principles in both life and business.
